BONJOUR MONSIEUR SCHÖNBERG!

2008   I  lambda print on aluminium  I   70x50 cm

Actually the work is the elimination of an artwork in a digital way. It deals with the phenomenon how attentive we are concerning our surround- ings. We live together with objects, artworks, that we meet day by day, but if they are not in our field of interest we do not know about them, we do not notice them (as if they would not exist) until our attention is raised for them. I past the statue day by day for 6 years, for which my Master, Tamás Körösényi attracted my attention. I am defining my own relation to the statue. I have perpetuated the building with the bay-statue then I have removed it from the picture. From this arises also the question that at what extent can a work at a public place fulfill its function actually?
